Radical Health Festival Helsinki returns for its second edition in 2024

The event continues its transformative mission

Following the successful conclusion of the inaugural pan-European Radical Health Festival Helsinki, the event will make its second appearance on 22-23 May, 2024 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The theme for the 2024 event is ‘Deploying precision and prevention at scale’.

Radical Health Festival Helsinki 2024 logoThe first Radical Health Festival Helsinki, held in June 2023, garnered international acclaim, hosting impactful discussions and engaging sessions that united policymakers, health professionals, innovators and solution providers, journalists, and influencers from across the globe. Praised for its high-quality content, the collaborative way of working, and networking opportunities, the event achieved its goal of uniting diverse perspectives on health matters.

With the tagline “It’s Critical to Be Radical,” Radical Health Festival Helsinki is driven by a genuine and shared ambition to transform healthcare, deliver value, improve clinical and financial outcomes, and make health systems sustainable.

Even more thought-provoking programme in 2024

Building upon the resounding success of its debut, the 2024 Festival will deliver an even more diverse and thought-provoking programme. Created for health innovation leaders and stakeholders, the festival offers a diverse range of workshops, talks, and interactive experiences designed to delve into topics ranging from AI and healthy ageing to mental health and cybersecurity.

“Between the Festival and the TEHDAS Stakeholder forum, we had over 1,000 participants onsite in June 2023. As new digital health events keep popping up across Europe, we’ve heard from many that our inclusive and collaborative approach was refreshing, and that the genuine willingness to change an unstainable status quo for improved outcomes was visible. It’s the biggest compliment for us. We are thrilled to announce the second edition of an event made in Europe for Europe,” says Pascal Lardier, the Festival’s Programme Director.

“Helsinki welcomes everyone who wants to innovate and challenge the traditional ways of health and social care. Our city is a world-class environment for digital health and well-being advancements, and thus the best place to meet like-minded people who share the same ambition,” says Juha Jolkkonen, lead of the Festival Steering Committee and Executive Director of Helsinki’s new Social, Health and Rescue Services Division.

Network of partners shaping future healthcare

The Festival is organised by The Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus) and éditohealth, an international healthcare thought leadership and content creation agency. Partners of the previous Radical Health Festival included the European Society of Cardiology, CHIME, Frontiers Health, EHTEL, COCIR, ECHAlliance, Healthtech Finland, Health-ISAC, Health Capital Helsinki, and the City of Helsinki. Over 190 distinguished speakers shared their insights and expertise, offering invaluable perspectives on the future of health and care.

“The collaboration with Radical Health Festival Helsinki is all about creating exciting new synergies and carving innovative, practical, and safe ways forward. Together, we are shaping the future with numerous groups from the digital health arena,” says Prof. Gerhard Hindricks, Chair of the Digital Health Committee of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
