Paragon 28 has announced it has acquired a Finnish medical software company Disior for $18M. Disior, founded in 2016 by Anna-Maria Henell, Gonçalo Barreto, Risto Kontio and Sakari Soini, is specialised in 3D medical imaging of the complex foot and ankle anatomy. The company’s software offers foot and ankle surgeons the objective data needed for delivering perfectly-tailored treatments for every patient.Through the acquisition, Disior will be an integral component to SMART 28™, Paragon’s ecosystem of enabling technologies for pre-operative planning, intra-operative support, and post-operative evaluation.“With this partnership, we have combined our talented teams and will bring a new standard of care to foot and ankle patients,” says Anna-Maria Henell, CEO of Disior.“Bringing Disior in to Smart 28™ is a game changer.
