The Young Researcher Entrepreneur prize is 5000 euros and awarded to a person who has developed a new research-based business. The aim of the prize is to promote researchers in Finnish Universities to start new companies. The prize may be awarded to a person who is under 40 years old, works as a full-time entrepreneur, and has a new business based on research.
Flexible, experienced mentoring free of charge
Life Science Mentors is a network of volunteers-based life science industry experts. The network is provided by Finnish Bioindustries. LS-Mentors was established to support the Finnish life science sector by helping companies reach their commercial and technological milestones. The platform matches individuals, start-ups and SMEs together with relevant skilled professionals in business related matters within pharma, healthtech, biotech industries and more. The aim is to facilitate access to flexible, experienced and free of charge mentoring.
Excellence Finland provides all courses and trainings -50% to organizations in the fields of health and wellness regardless of the size of the company until 31 December 2020. All services are available online considering the pandemic situation.

Mental Health is in crisis around the world, exacerbated by the impact of COVID-19, and affecting both front-line health workers as well as the general population.
Johnson & Johnson invites nurses and nursing students worldwide to submit their nurse-led novel concepts, education programs, protocols, prevention or treatment approaches, screening tools, and consumer product ideas with the power to potentially transform mental health care and well-being for their fellow healthcare professionals or the patients they serve amid the current pandemic environment and beyond.
The nurse innovators with the best idea(s) will receive up to $100,000 in grant funding and access to mentoring from experts across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies to help bring their ideas to life.
An analysis of current pill minders revealed that none were designated as child resistant and the majority did not have important safety information including that the device should be stored out of the reach of children.
To inspire innovators to tackle this safety risk, Johnson & Johnson Innovation is proud to introduce the Pill Protect QuickFire Challenge: Designing for Medication Safety. They invite visionaries to submit ideas aiming to prevent or reduce the accidental accessing by children of medications in pill minders, pill organizers or pill dispensers.
The innovator(s) with the best idea, potential technology, or potential solution will receive up to $100,000 in grant funding, access to the global JLABS network and mentorship from experts at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.
The Next in Naturals QuickFire Challenge focusing on Children’s Wellness invites innovators to submit potential new form ingestible innovations and/or vehicles of delivery for children’s wellness products that utilize ingredients inspired by nature.
The innovator(s) with the best idea(s) will receive up to $50,000 in grant funding, one year of residency at an available JLABS, and mentorship from the Johnson& Johnson Family of Companies.
