Health Incubator Helsinki open for applications – apply by 19 March
Health Incubator Helsinki, Finland’s long-term incubator program for research-based health sector startups, is now accepting applications for its fourth batch. Apply by 19 March, 2023!
Innovative early-stage health startups and teams from Finland and abroad are encouraged to apply for Health Incubator Helsinki’s three-year program, which offers customised mentoring, advice, and networking opportunities, as well as office and co-working space at Terkko Health Hub, in close proximity of HUS Helsinki University Hospital. Apart from a small fee for the office space, the incubator services are free for the participants.
Health Incubator Helsinki aims to boost the commercialisation and growth of research innovations toward successful businesses. The incubator is currently supporting 24 teams.
The third batch of Health Incubator Helsinki startups has secured a total of €11 million in funding.
“For the new teams and startups joining the incubator program, we put emphasis on getting them up to speed with the basics of developing their product or service and getting the finance in place. After this initial period of two months, our support will be focused on advising each team individually,” says Christian Lardot, Incubator Leader at Health Incubator Helsinki.
The teams have achieved impressive results during their three years in the incubator progam, including successful funding rounds. In 2022, the third batch of Health Incubator Helsinki startups secured a total of €11 million in funding. Read Lapsi Health’s and Finnadvance’s experiences of the program.
The incubator program application period runs from 20 February to 19 March, 2023. The chosen candidates will be invited to an interview, and approximately 10-12 startups will begin in the incubator by the end of April.
