DESCRIPTION:HealthBIO Seminar and Get together\, 15 September\nThe 15th HealthBIO event will be arranged on-site at Presidentti auditorium\, BioCity\, and Get-together at Visitor and Innovation Centre Joki\, Turku. \nThe program includes an overview of the newest trends and successful companies will share their latest insights on the development of the life-science business environment. The program also introduces the most significant projects in the life-science field: CancerIO and InFlames. CancerIO is coordinated by the University of Helsinki and focuses on immuno-oncology\, while InFlames is a joint flagship project of the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University and focuses on immunology. \nHealthBIO 2021 Partnering Event\, 16 September\nThe HealthBIO 2021 Partnering Day and Pitching Competition will be arranged on at SparkUp in ElektroCity\, Turku. \nApply for the pitching competition by sending a short abstract of your 5 min presentation to tero.piispanen@turkubusinessregion.com by 15 August 2021.

DESCRIPTION:Mini-Piloting is one of the piloting programmes within the EU-funded FinEst Twins project. The programme aims to improve the urban ecosystem by catalysing innovation from current research to create successful start-up companies. \nMini-Piloting is looking for research-based ideas and concepts that can be developed into profitable businesses or otherwise contribute to urban development. Health & Well-being is one of the topics in the piloting programme. \nThe call for tenders opens 18 June\, 2021 and closes 18 August\, 2021. During the autumn 2021 and spring 2022\, the selected proposals will be developed into functional prototypes and piloted in cooperation with cities.
